AI CMO

An AI CMO that does
the work, not just the plan.

An AI CMO is software that does a chief marketing officer's job for a business that cannot hire one: it decides what to say and where, and — in PaperFlight's case — gets it made and published every day, then changes course from the numbers. PaperFlight is an AI CMO with its own team: a CMO that plans the week toward your goal, a Researcher, a Writer, a Designer that makes every post in your colours, fonts and logo, a Publisher that posts to LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Threads and Bluesky, and an Analyst that reads the results and tells the CMO what to change.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Hire a person if…

You need someone in the room with your investors, your sales team and your customers — brand strategy, pricing, hiring, budgets across many channels. A fractional CMO does that; an AI CMO does not.

Choose PaperFlight if…

You are a founder or a small team that knows social media matters but has no time to plan, write, design and post every day — and you want it measured and improved, not just scheduled.

What an AI CMO actually does in a day

Every morning PaperFlight's CMO reads the plan for the week, your business goal, what went out lately and how it did. It briefs the Researcher when the post needs facts, sends the Writer a brief with one clear intent, sends weak drafts back, and hands the finished piece to the Designer, who draws it in your colours, fonts and logo — a single graphic, a slide deck with a PDF, an infographic or a voiced short video.

The Publisher posts it to each channel with a caption written for that channel's limits. In Approve & schedule mode it waits for your yes; in Autonomous mode it goes out on its own inside a daily cap and quiet hours, with one switch to stop everything. The Analyst reads the numbers — including site visits from Google Analytics — and on Mondays the CMO moves the week toward what worked.

Who it is for

PaperFlight is built for people who are the whole marketing team themselves:

  • Solo founders and first-time founders who post when they remember, and know it shows.
  • Small businesses — consultants, coaches, accountants, clinics, agencies of one — whose customers find them on LinkedIn and Instagram.
  • Startups before their first marketing hire, who need a consistent voice in public now, not after the next round.

You stay in charge

The CMO works toward a business intent you set with it — for example, booked demo calls or site visits from a specific audience — and every post has to serve it. Your brand rules, banned words, sign-off and per-channel limits are enforced before anything is published. You can change any post in one sentence, and the team learns from your edits and rejections.

Where a human CMO is still better

  • Board meetings, investor narratives and pricing decisions.
  • Hiring and managing a marketing team or agencies.
  • Paid media budgets across many channels, events and partnerships.
  • Relationships — journalists, partners, key accounts.

What buyers ask.

What is an AI CMO?
Software that plans and runs a company's marketing the way a chief marketing officer would. PaperFlight's AI CMO directs a team of AI specialists that research, write, design, publish and measure social posts every day.
Can an AI CMO replace a human CMO?
For a small business's daily social presence, yes — that is the work most founders cannot keep up with. For board-level strategy, budgets and hiring, no. Many companies use an AI CMO until they can afford a person, and keep it after to do the daily work.
How much does an AI CMO cost?
PaperFlight is $299 a month, or $199 a month at the founding price for a limited number of seats (first 12 paid months). A fractional CMO typically costs $3,000–$15,000 a month (MarketerHire puts a typical engagement at $7,000–$10,000).
Does it post without asking me?
Only if you choose Autonomous. In Approve & schedule every post waits for your yes. Autonomous runs inside a daily cap and quiet hours, and Stop everything cancels what is scheduled.
Which channels does it post to?
LinkedIn (profile and pages), X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Threads and Bluesky — one approval, a version for each channel.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. 7 days, no card. Your CMO drafts the first post on day one.
